Tonight during savasana when you aren’t supposed to be thinking about anything, I found myself thinking about Mary & Matthew. THEY AREN’T EVEN REAL PEOPLE! This is why I shouldn’t watch TV.

If Jane Austen wrote the scripts for Downton Abbey, Mary & Matthew would be together in the end.

It’s almost like watching Pam & Jim all over again but classier.

Lord Grantham - Liked immediately.

Lady Grantham - She kind of comes of like a ninny in the first episode but she is getting better. I totally didn’t even notice that she had an American accent.

Mr. Carson - I hated the way he treated Bates but he has redeemed himself.

Lady Mary - Still not sure what I make of her. I’d like to see what Emma would have done with her. I feel like I am starting to like her more. I do feel sympathy for her but it’s kind of like come on white girl you are privileged as shit and your marriage situation sucks but COME ON you have it pretty damn good. Also piece of advice, women’s lib is a LONG way off - keep your legs closed.

Edith- She annoys the hell out of me. I know she is like the underdog but ugh she is kind of pathetic and seems like a know it all. Also her homeliness does not help me like her more. She needs a different haircut; the one she has makes her face look weirder.

O’Brien - LOATHE. WHAT. A. BITCH. I wanted to punch her when she knocked Bates over.

Anna- I want good things for her. I wish she and Bates would marry. :(

Thomas - also LOATHE. He needs to go. Also, I totally did not see his make-out session coming. I wish someone would give him what he deserves. Douche. Also what is he doing with all that wine?

Mrs. Hughes - not much to say. but I like her. She isn’t as bitchy as she first seemed.

Dasiy - This poor girl. She is so naive and kind of dumb. She annoys me a bit. I wish she’d realize Thomas was an arse and go for William.

The Cook - Is she going blind? Is that really part of the story line? Also, she is a spaz and needs some meds.

Professor McGonagall  - Is she really that old or do they make her look older? She makes me laugh with her old, proper ways.

Matthew Crawley - <3 I wish Lady Mary would just fall for him.

Mrs. Crawley - She is totally a know it all and I find her kind of annoying but I like to watch her and McGonagall have it out.

Lady Sybil - I need more of her.

William - poor boy

Ethel - you go girl. be a secretary.

Bates - LOVED FROM THE FIRST MINUTE. I felt so bad for him when he got that stupid limp corrector. I loved when Mrs. Hughes made it him toss it in the pond.
