I’ve been running around like crazy since eight-thirty this morning. Got everything we need for the party, minus crackers. Now it is time to prep food and clean.
It’s funny b/c I didn’t really want to have a New Year’s Eve party but now I am really excited. Plus I do like planning parties and all the food that goes along with it! Tom is coming too!
I already turned my out of office on…

I’m trying to decide what my goal for reading should be for 2010. I don’t want to stress myself out over meeting it so I am trying to be realistic.
My goal for this year was 30 but I met that in July so I bumped it to 50. I should hit 53. That being said I only read one book in January and one in February. If I had read more in those months as I did in the others I could have probably...
I got two new nail polishes last night.

Book Club tonight!
We read The Hunger Games. Most of us read Catching Fire too!
I think I’m going to suggest Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann. And I know Alice Munro’s Too Much Happiness will be in the hat too. Yeah we actually draw a book now.
We used to go around and vote but we decided to just put the suggestions we are all interested in into a hat or something like that and pull one....
Today is my brother’s last day at work (we’ve been working at the same place for about a year and a half). I’m kind of sad about it. But he’ll be student teaching next semester and that is way better than having to do all the crappy admin stuff he does here.
And we get to go to Wendy’s for lunch as a send off!

just to see if I wanted to read it, and of COuRSE I find the part where some guy kills cats. I can’t read this. too bad. no cat killing, please, even fictional cat killing. I struggled through rat killing and felt bad enough, but cats…just NO. I’ll cry all damn day. as it is, I need to distract myself so I don’t obsess over it.
And that must be part of Haruki...

I’m exhausted and my neck hurts fro being curled up in the same position in my chair for an hour and a half. But it was totally worth it.
Congrats! I’m on 53, that’s probably where I’ll max out for this year.
I just started reading Away by Amy Bloom. I don’t feel fully committed just yet.
1 down, 2 to go.
My Monday is just about over. Now I just have to get through Tuesday and Wednesday.
