scarletbooksandthoughts replied to your post: Today is Republic Day in India. This means work is… can you read at your desk without anyone seeing you? I would do that if I could. Unfortunately no. I am in a row of 5 cubicles and then behind us are managers offices. And everyone is here today.

I am really looking forward to Friday night. Phil and I are hitting up the record store for The Smile Sessions Vinyl (which I am super excited about), we are also going to hit up the bookstore, and a coffee shop. Should be a fun evening.

Tonight during savasana when you aren’t supposed to be thinking about anything, I found myself thinking about Mary & Matthew. THEY AREN’T EVEN REAL PEOPLE! This is why I shouldn’t watch TV.

monkeychow replied to your photo: My thoughts on the Art of Fielding. About half way through and LOVING this! The halfway point is where I got completely sucked in and couldn’t put it down. I was so glad I had all day yesterday to just read and read and read. When I saw you were reading it it piqued my interest!

Despite the fact that Phil was out of town
this weekend was pretty wonderful I came home Friday even and didn’t leave the house until I left for work this morning. Normally that would drive me nuts but it was amazing. I did so much reading, watched Downton, and was pretty productive with chores. Now all I can think about is reading more but that will have to wait.

If Jane Austen wrote the scripts for Downton Abbey, Mary & Matthew would be together in the end. It’s almost like watching Pam & Jim all over again but classier.

I was feeling like my goal was a bit lofty knowing on Friday that I was only 90 pages into The Art of Fielding. When I woke up today I was barely at the half-way point. But this book sucked me in so hard that I just finished it. So good.

Lord Grantham - Liked immediately. Lady Grantham - She kind of comes of like a ninny in the first episode but she is getting better. I totally didn’t even notice that she had an American accent. Mr. Carson - I hated the way he treated Bates but he has redeemed himself. Lady Mary - Still not sure what I make of her. I’d like to see what Emma would have done with her. I feel like I...
